OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE OF OUR ORGANIZATION
HUNGARIAN ASSOCIATION OF THE SACRAMENTO AREA is an incorporated,
valid non-profit organization. It is organized and operates exclusively for charitable purposes.

The objectives and purpose of the organization from the bylaws are:
“This corporation is organized and under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes within the meaning of the Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3)
This organization is a non-profit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person.
The purpose of this corporation is to preserve, expand and enhance Hungarian cultural heritage for individuals living in California by building alliances, supporting community-based activities, and providing programs to introduce and foster Hungarian language, culture in the greater Sacramento Area for interested parties.
In the context of these general purposes, this shall be accomplished through, but shall not be limited to, outreach, education, advocacy, and grants. “

The organization has received the IRS approval letter for tax-exempt status based on Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3).
The organization has received the CA approval for tax-exempt status based on California Law, Revenue and Taxation Code (R&TC) Section 23701 Part 11.
